SiriusXM is removing Met Opera Radio from its radio broadcast lineup this week but the channel will still be available for streaming, the company announced.
Starting November 8, 2023, Met Opera Radio will no longer be found on your car radio’s SiriusXM channel 355. Met Opera Radio will still be available to SiriusXM subscribers but only by streaming online or via the SiriusXM app. To listen in your car, you’ll need to us the SiriusXM app and stream it on your phone.
SiriusXM did announce that a Met Opera broadcast will be available twice a week on another music station. Symphony Hall channel (ch. 78) will carry Met Opera broadcasts on Sundays at 3pm ET and Wednesdays at 9pm ET.
Since 2006, SiriusXM’s Met Opera station has carried live broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera two to three times a week during the opera season. Throughout the day, performances are presented from among the 1,500 recorded broadcasts in the Metropolitan Opera radio broadcast archives.

Met Opera on Broadcast Radio
