What Are VoiceBuds?

VoiceBuds are one of the new class of direct-to-consumer hearing aids allowed by the federal Over-the-Counter Hearing Aid Act. The law allows for a new class of hearing aids regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and available directly to consumers without involvement from an physician or audiologist.

ZVOX VoiceBuds are FDA Registered Class One Hearing Aids. You order them online, with no hearing tests or prescriptions required.

The VoiceBud uses two microphones in combination with a computer processor so you hear more of what’s in front of you and less unwanted sound from in back of you. Directional microphones reduce background sound.

The Voicebuds have two settings: volume and mode.  There are four modes to select from: Speech, noisy room, automobile/road noise, and telecoil.

You control the VB20 settings with an app on your smartphone, or by clicking on the volume control or mode buttons on each Voicebud.  VB25 VoiceBuds are controlled only by buttons on each aid, not with an app.

An instructional video about the app is at the end of this article.

You can find more in the user manuals at: VoiceBud User Guides

VoiceBuds are small and comfortable; virtually invisible when worn. Choose from three colors: Beige, Champagne, or Silver/Gray.
