Atlanta Subscription Deal: $100 for 1 Year

New York Times Subscription Deals

The New York Times has a great digital subscription deal from time to time:  $1 a week for up to 52 weeks, so, $52 for a full year. However, this deal comes and goes.  Usually the deal is for $2 per week, still a bargain but if you want the best deal, watch for the $1 per week deal.  You can find the current best deal here:

The regular rate is $4.25 per week. This subscription gives you unlimited access to the New York Times website, eEdition, and app for Apple or Android.  Your credit card will be billed every four weeks. Good for up to 52 weeks for all new subscribers. This does not include the Cooking Section and Crossword puzzle (see more details below).

Author’s Note:  We have received the New York Times digital edition for $4 every 4 weeks for several years.  We got this deal by contacting the Times subscription department to cancel our subscription when our $1 per week deal was about to expire.  We were offered the $1 per week deal with no expiration date.

How to Keep Low Rates

*Before you buy a subscription, be aware that these introductory deals are good only for your first year (or whatever the special is for), and after that you’ll be billed at the regular rate unless you act.

Here’s what you should do: After purchasing your subscription, set yourself a reminder to contact the newspaper at least a few days before the end of your special subscription.   Ask what you are going to be billed for renewal.  Unless you are offered another special rate, say you cannot afford it and need to cancel.  You will often be offered the same special rate, or another good deal.

What Are the Best Newspaper Subscription Deals?

The median price for a digital newspaper subscription is $10, according to the American Press Institute. If you don’t see the newspaper you are interested in above, then you can often find a deal with Google.  Do a search on: your-newspaper subscription For example, search for: Tennessean subscription To see deals for the Nashville Tennessean.
