How to Keep Low Subscription Rates

*Before you buy a subscription, be aware that these introductory deals are good only for your first year (or whatever the special is for), and after that you’ll be billed at the regular rate unless you act. Here’s what you should do:

After purchasing your subscription, set yourself a reminder to contact the newspaper at least a few days before the end of your special subscription.   Ask what you are going to be billed for renewal.  Unless you are offered another special rate, say you cannot afford it and need to cancel.  You will often be offered the same special rate, or another good deal.

What Are the Best Newspaper Subscription Deals?

The median price for a digital newspaper subscription is $10 a month, according to the American Press Institute. If you don’t see the newspaper you are interested in above, then you can often find a deal with Google.  Do a search on: your-newspaper subscription
