SiriusXM celebrates John Lennon’s birthday on Saturday, October 9, 2021 with guest DJ Sean Lennon, a Paul McCartney interview and more.
Here are some off the highlights; all programs will be on the Beatles Channel (Ch. 18) and the SiriusXM app.
- October 9, 5 pm: Sean Ono Lennon Guest DJ. Musician, songwriter, producer, and the only child of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Sean Ono Lennon joins host David Fricke in a two-part series, sharing memories of his dad along with his favorite John Lennon songs, both with and without The Beatles. Part 1 airs at 5 pm, Part 2 at 9 pm.
- October 9, 12 am: Paul McCartney Interview With Alec Baldwin. Paul McCartney sits down with Alec Baldwin for an exclusive interview to reflect on his songwriting partner, bandmate, and friend John Lennon.
- October 8 at 2pm, October 9 at 10am, October 10 at 1pm and October 11 at 12pm: Eight Songs A Week… Times Two. Beatles fans are giving John Lennon a special birthday playlist composed of their 16 favorite songs with John on lead vocals. Hosted by Meg Griffin.
- October 6 at 9pm, October 9 at 7am, October 10 at 6pm: Fab Fourum. The Beatles Channel’s weekly live Fab Fourum talk show, hosted by Dennis Elsas and Bill Flanagan, will be dedicated to John and feature special guests, as well as your phone calls.
- October 8 at 4pm, October 10 at 10am: Way Beyond Compare: Beatles Rarities. Join Beatles expert Tom Frangione as he dedicates a special episode of Way Beyond Compare to John Lennon’s outtakes in celebration of John’s birthday.
- October 7 at 9pm, October 10 at 8am, October 12 at 1pm: Peter Asher: From Me To You. Musician, host, and friend of The Beatles Peter Asher plays some of his favorite White Album and Beatles tracks by John Lennon, plus covers of John’s songs by David Bowie, Fats Domino, Fiona Apple, Elvis Costello, and more.
