A reading of all of Shakespeare’s 154 Sonnets by top British actors is available for free streaming today through Monday, November 30, 2020.
A stellar cast of actors including, Fiona Shaw, Sir Patrick Stewart and David Tennant will perform. You can view the complete performance all this week at:
It is the latest free streaming show from The Shows Must Go On project created by Andrew Lloyd Webber and NBC Universal. The project was created as a way to connect with theatre patrons while all the major venues are shut down.
The show is described as follows:
“This Monday join us as the mysteries and marvels of Shakespeare’s Sonnets are revealed as never before in these vivid, compelling and accessible performances. All 154 Sonnets are performed by a stellar cast of actors including, Fiona Shaw, Sir Patrick Stewart and David Tennant. Other contributors include actors Simon Callow, Simon Russell Beale, Kim Cattrall, Dominic West and Stephen Fry, as well as prominent experts on Shakespeare such as Professor James Shapiro and voice coach Cicely Berry.”
It is available for free streaming for 7 days hours from 2 pm ET Monday November 23 until 2 pm ET November 30, 2020.

When the pandemic began, Universal began airing free full-length recordings of musicals on its YouTube channel The Shows Must Go On.
The free shows included CATS, Phantom of the Opera and Love Never Dies.
Each performance usually begins at 2 pm ET on a Monday and is then removed one week later.
